Man up and get on with your lives. (I took the day off uni saying I was stranded in Gloucestershire)

My mum has told me a story of Yugoslavia in the 80's. One winter there was snow non-stop for 4 months. At some stages there was about 10 foot of it, what did people do? Dig trenches and carry on with their lives. (Some people died when the trenches caved in but that's completely beside the point)

Last winter my grandad almost froze to death on his way home, he got stuck in the snow and there was there about an hour or so, -15. He was saved by a local stray dog which alerted people to him. This dog is a demi-god in his neighourhood now.

welcome to Norway

Do you drive at all, or take mummy's trains everywhere?

What reason do I have to lie about it? Seems a rather strange thing to do.

Free train, first class on weekends. I don't drive, a student living in London has no need of a car.

Countries get that always get loads of snow cope a lot better and are used to the conditions. Countries who don't get a lot of snow usually don't cope well and aren't used to the conditions.

In other news, a bear was spotted defecating by some trees....

My sentiments exactly! Don't understand why people drive like such morons in the snow when we've had bad weather over the last few years now!

Cars getting stuck-sliding on croft-vic hill apparantly. I have to go to Coventry later should be fun.won't be found up the stow road today.

Good shout...i counted 9 vehicles written off driving back from Surrey including two white vans on there roofs.
One 100 mile trip.....the mind boggles how many cars will end totalled by the end of the day....must say it was rather dicey today........feel totally drained tonight.
