I like the small strong ones best, strong enough to make your eyes water. Closely followed buy those little red ones you get in curry houses.

I have to keep mine out of sight from myself cos whenever I see the jar, I just can't resist.

Pickled onions are an integral part of my ex-pat survival kit, along with sandwich spread, extra-mature cheddar, wine gums and digestives.

Pickled eggs with a large portion of proper seaside chips and loads of vinegar is king, pickled cockles are rather delightful too  Smiley
