whose worse than us?

chesterfield- favourites to go down
oldham- overrated by eveyone, now missing beckett
brentford- overachieved, allen likely to go soon, lost many players
port vale- utterly anonymous
scunthorpe- can't see them staying up, nor can the bookies
colchester- another consistently lower half side
rotherham- a club on the slide
walsall- not too disimilar to vale
southend- not that strong

pretty similar chances to us?

barnsley, bournemouth, bradford, huddersfield, swansea, yeovil, Franchise,

that's 16 out of 24, gillingham may well be shight, hartlepool have lost their boss, city always underachieve...

it's really not that bad

I agree with Dave there, not many clubs in our division have a strikeforce of the combined quality of Fallon, Cureton, Thorpe & Roberts. Even though our squad is weak in numbers and certian positions that sort of quality should keep us at least mid table.

we've got a very promising keeper (despite my rantings)

we've got the most complete centre half in the league, and his partner is the fastest in the league

we've got gareth whalley- he's not the hardman figure but he's sure as hell got class above league one, a major coup in my opinion, and our best signing

as piemonte says, we've got a very very dangerous strikeforce and all of them have different qualities

we don't have hewlett holding us back either

Got to agree with Dave here, there aren't really many stand out teams they all appear to have fairly similar chances but our first xi is not bad at all, we could just do with a couple more players, king is looking for more but has to persuade the board the players he identifies are essential. Still a month left till the transfer window shuts though.

Pre-season overall has been far better than I expected.

With our current squad we have to be the worst squad. Any couple of injuries and we will be up the paddle in my opinion. Long hard season ahead.

Call me stupid, but I don't think bristol city are much better than us.Lita, coles and doc gone and they have not got many 'wow' players. They have made such a big deal out of marcus stewart, but he's an old donkey and I personally can't see him having that much of an impact.
