I think it will be a restricted celebration but would be nice if we don't get to find out either way.
Indeed.

5. I'd give Cox a standing ovation but Austin's just another player who came (no childish remarks), did well and went.

I'll show him the same respect he showed the club when he spat his dummy out and handed in a transfer request.
None.

I seem to remember Austin working hard when the rest of the team had given up but basically, as above.

Indeed. Not so much the leaving - but the way that he did it. I wish it had been more amicable a-la Cox and Parkin. Because he was a bloody good player for us, but tainted it because of the above in my eyes. No much different from Grant Smith, Matt Heyward and the ilk. But I kind of don't think of him in those terms because he was a local lad and did well!

He jumped off a sinkling ship and bettered himself in the process. I will be getting out the red carpet and providing a selection of prostitutes and cocaine for him

Agree with that, the 'ungenerous' nature of Austin leaving taints his Swindon legacy a tad in my view. That said seeing a player come good in the way he did in Swindon shirt was a privilege - or I certainty I thought so at the time.

I didn't boo him....
Southampton away was legendary for me.
Remember you can only have humility if you have intelligence and despite being one of the best finishers I have ever seen.....he ain't got that.
Good luck to him and thanks for those memories.....Saints away.....Yes!

A bit hypocritical from someone who spat their dummy out and refused to attend league 2 games last season...

I didn't sing but I did laugh. There was nothing (that I heard) that was completely out of order, just off putting for Austin. It worked too it seems.
The "Charlie Charlie Austin song at the end was a nice touch when CA walked round to applaud the fans.
Great game last night, loved it.

He did get a fair amount of stick from the Townend, but clapping all the supporters at the end was a nice touch, fair play to him. I did chuckle at the "Nice one Benson, nice one son!" chant after we went 1-0 up
