Looks like its going to stand as well as results released have not been marked provisional? Puts Adam Yates in a very awkward position and sets a strange precedent if you don't like who is in yellow, just block the road!

Edit - Yellow jersey presentation delayed so who knows?

Someone just pointed out on Twitter, that's what happens when you try and fit 21km of 'fans' into 15km of road.

Froome seemingly re-instated  Smiley  Newtheme tune....

Saw a Brum based pub band, with a good singer do a cover of this recently....forgotten what a tune it is.

Well that was fucking mental.

Absolutely loved it, but I've got to somehow got to sum all of that and the rest of the last 7 day's racing up into an email for works fantasy cycling group. Hopefully give Bennett something to smile about on a Friday afternoon!

Mental stage. As Boardman said this was going to happen sooner or later.

It's been great so far, even the flat stage on Wednesday was brilliant. Fair play to Froome

Bastille Day, shortened stage (i.e. even more people crammed into the last few kilometres) so I guess it was always going to be busy.

At least they made the only sensible decision with regards to time gaps, as Adam Yates said afterwards, it would have been wrong to get the Yellow Jersey in that way

It may not appeal to everyone but this is on today at the county ground extension.

One for the home mechanics.

Dual pivot shimano brakes, and they are not releasing properly when I release the lever and thus rubbing slightly. I have lubed the pivots and also run some oil down the cables and still not doing what they should any other suggestions?

How new are the cables (both inner and outer)?? I had similar issues solved but completely replacing both. Friction is your enemy.

Last year my rear mech wasn't functioning well despite 2 new cables so I changed the outers and hey presto it was fine.

Failing that there are videos on line how to dismantle and clean the brakes themselves.

As old as the bike so probably 4+ years, bugger I was hoping to avoid faffing around with cables!
