Miller wants to be Town's penalty man

NEW signing Tommy Miller is keen to put himself on the spot and continue his exceptional penalty record following his move to Swindon.

and I can see him struggling to, Roberts Navaro Ferry Ritchie definitely looks to be our first choice starting four for me.

He will get games, i'm sure. Has everyone forgotten that Paolo likes to chop and change?

That would be my guess as well*

*I don't think I predicted a starting XI correctly once last season.

Paolo does like a change so I'm sure a lot will get their fair share, luckily we have the squad for it..but I think the midfield is the easiest position to predict (other than goalkeeper!)

I am guessing* that the following would have to have a nightmare pre-season and/or get injured to not start at Hartlepool...

GK Foderingham

RB Caddis
CB McCormack
CB ??
LB McEveley

RM Ritchie
CM Ferry
CM Navarro
LM Roberts (although will be pushed hard hopefully by Rooney)

ST Collins
ST ??

I think PDC has McCormack earmarked for one of the CB berths then it will be a straight contest betwen Flint, DeVera and Archibald as to who has the best pre-season for the other spot. The other striker's position would obviously be between Benson and Williams but my money would be on Benson to start.

*See previous post - Di Cano could easily throw a massive spanner in the works and decide to move McCormack or Caddis up to midfield or Chris Smith will play out of his skin to earn a starting spot or something equally random.  Plus of course, there are probably more signings to come which could throw all of that up in the air.

I'd agree with that, definitely the position i'm most unsure of is center back
