Hull away-1988 ish. Drove all the way there with 3 mates in shocking snowy conditions. Listened to the radio all the way-game still on- then pulled into the car park to be told "sorry fellas, the game has just been called off". 5 hour journey wasted. Crying

Not sure if I'd say the Forest game - it was so bad it didn't even hurt.

Yeovil in the 08/09 season was quiet bad - we played shit and after that game looked as if we would be sucked into the relegation zone with no escape.

Relegation at Bristol City wasn't fun.

We played quite well and Jamie Cureton, who else, had a great chance. Turns out that we would have prolonged our fate had we won that.

Sigh.

Ahhh if we're talking trips to games that have been called off, i'll add Stockport a couple of seasons back to list. Didn't even have any rain on the day but the pitch was still waterlogged from the night before. Only reason it wasn't called off earlier is Stockport were desperate for the cash. Got 2 minutes from the ground and had a text from a mate to say it was off.

Exeter away last season was a pig too but at least they had had some rain.

January 1976 FA Cup 3rd Round Replay

Tooting and Mitcham 2 - 1 Swindon Town

It made national news on both BBC and ITV and was in the media spotlight for the next few days.

Their manager was Elton John's uncle, they had an ex Villa regular in goal and an ex Town midfielder, who took great delight in reminding Danny Williams of the score.

More importantly as a young boy i had until this game, always seen those in a red shirt as collective heroes. It shattered the illusion and from then on i've always been much more circumspect about Town teams and players.

To add insult to injury, half way through the 1st half a firm of Millwall fans turned up.Nice.
