I have no affinity with Ireland but I want them to do well. They're our neighbours and speak the same language as us, we have a lot in common with them. Although I also want Croatia to do well for the very same reason.

Oh never mind Doh

Irish people speak English. And you obviously have no idea where I'm from.

I have O level Geography (exams when they were hard).

I suppose I better back down on this one and accept we all love Ireland cos they are part of the British Isles.

I know plenty of people who have nasty experiences in Ireland (more rural areas if I'm honest) because they were English. Hundreds of years of oppression will probably do that to a national psyche.

The Irish I've met over the years have been very pleasant but that doesn't mean I want them to do well in the football Smiley

The missus is irish so want them to do well. We're off to Croatia today for a week so timed it right to miss the game last night! Probably be in Dubrovnik for the England and Ireland games later in the week!

I have some Irish roots, but I want them to fail.

Ireland looked awful when I was watching it, I think there out now though, can't realistically see them getting results against the other two in their group.  Bye

Shay Given - for me one of the most under-rated keeper around. At one time he was for sure in the top 5 in the world

This went well! Given had a mare.
