Di Canio tells Bodin to leave if he wants first-team football

PAOLO Di Canio has suggested that it may be better for Billy Bodin to leave Swindon Town in pursuit of regular first-team football.

Dramatic headline by the thinking mans Beano again.

So according to the Adver, BBC Swindon and Di God, William Bodin international forward with a string of honours behind him and being chased by Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to name a few wants first team football. Yawn zzzzzzz. Don't they all?

In reality Bodin has expressed a desire to be more involved with the first team next season. A reasonable request, however, let's look at the bigger picture.

He's 20. League 2 standard, possibly could go higher under the right tutorship. Been loaned out twice last term to gain more experience and played more regularly than he did with his parent club which you'd expect. Naturally he would like to play more, i'd be surprised if it was otherwise. Di God has told him the bare facts the same as he would to other team members, now it is up to William Bodin to decide what he wants. Or to be more precise weigh up the flood of offers for his signature between now and when the town say times up mate.

I wish him well in what he decides to do but in all honesty if we go up again this season and I for one expect that to be the case then you would have to ask yourself the question would he be good enough for the championship the following season after playing what may turn out to be just a supporting roll @ SN1 this time around?

As if the lad would be demanding first team football. Made the mistake of reading the first few comments below the article  Suicide
He will want to know if he has a chance of playing here or being sent out on loan again. A perfectly reasonable thing to ask and be concerned about considering how things went for him last season.
