It reminded me of Appletise or something slightly alcopop. I wouldn't go looking for it, or even buy it, but much like I was told White Zinfandel is aimed at people who don't drink wine (hence why I thought it was nice), I think Cidre is aimed at people who don't drink cider - again why I probably like it. Smiley

i'm not familiar with badger - yes i am having googled them, i have been known to enjoy a fursty ferret a few years ago.

i do miss ales when i'm in france for the winter months, it's very rare thet i'll drink a lager when i'm in the uk.  the saving grace is that i work in the highest official guinness pub in the world for those months and free guinness is certainly not to be sniffed at. 

in reply to other guinness related posts we do have many irish punters who have very good things to say about our guinness.

Hopping Hare is their best effort

Don't know much about these new-fangled Guinness products but bottled Guinness is dreadful pap. Canned isn't too bad, which is strange cos I always reckon bottled lager is far superior to canned.

Anyone ever tried Polish Pure Spirit - one of the local expat-Poles brings some over from home on a regular basis.

cidre is only 60% apple i think. not like other ciders

Yeah I think it's 50% and according to recent advertising 70% handpicked.

I don't know why Stella discloses the apple content, it's not a selling point.

Katy tastes good but can be lethal.  Aspalls do some good cyder too (yes, that's how they spell it in olde Suffolk).

True... Actually I really like Aspall's Peronelle's Blush (or whatever it's called). Don't know many that admit to drinking it though as it's quite girly. Which is fine for me, being a girl and all!
