How the bloody hell are the groups decided when level on points, head to head right. But as of now in group B there are 3 teams on 3 points with a -1 GD. And the group was Portugal, Denmark Holland.

Head to head:

Holland 0 Denmark 1
Denmark 2 Portugal 3
Portugal 0 Holland 1

So is it just a mini group on goals scored or what.

And as I type Denmark level against ze Germans making the whole question pointless. But as I type that Portugal equalise through the ladyboy.

It just reverts to GD, like it should do anyway as just about all the leagues in the world, when two or more teams are on the same number of points, it is decided by goal difference...except in Spain.

It should be GD, that way it makes all the games relevant.
Take tomorrow night, if Croatia & Spain draw 2-2 it wouldn't matter if Italy win 10-0 they will still be out under this mildly stupid system even though all the teams will be level on points.

Like that'd ever happen to Italy.

They should've had a pen with the German defender trying to swap shirts with Bendtner during the game...but Bender has just put the Germans ahead.

How much have you spent watching Scotland?

Not sure what that's got to do with it, but I'd say, not that much all in all a couple of grand I'd say.

I'm just interested in hearing the reasons on giving up on your country's team. To go from following your country, to effectively boycotting a tournament seems a little ott to me anyway.

Remember watching the Paraguay/England match in '86 whilst on holiday in Tunisia, cracking game that was. As for the Argie match, a sporting JFK moment if ever there was one.

As I've said before I love international football, which is probably the reason why I picked up on JJ's post.  I find it a bit sad when club football is treated as more important, such a shame the game's gone that way. Each to their own though I suppose.

Appreciate final appearances in 74, 78 and 88, but the dutch have to be one of the most over rated sides in the world. Pretty much always flatter to deceive and against the German's they seem to have a massive inferiority complex.

Glad they're out.

Edit 0 forgot to mention their disgraceful performance in 2010 WC final too. Another reason to shed no tears on this year's demise.

Agree with what you say Jan about supporting your country etc. What i hate more is the pride that some people show in telling people how shit england are.On here, facebook etc you know some people are gagging to just slate them at every opportunity.
