I really don't rate Theo Walcott, I would take Chamberlain or Adam Johnson ahead of him.

Ds: Richards, Johnson, Ferdinand, Cahill, Lescott, Cole, Baines, Jones
Ms: Gerrard, Carrick, Scholes, Parker, Young, A Johnson, Milner,

There aren't going to be many defenders on the international stage used to coping with the physical presence of someone like Carroll. Too many small strikers these days. He's a game changer and has to be in the squad.

Me too. I've only fleetingly seen him on MOTD/Sky but he still doesn't seem to have the end product to go with the speed.

Fucking Swindon reject.

Gerrard has been shite or injured for the last couple of seasons. A big no for me.

If Roy has balls there would be no Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard, Lampard or Cole. There should also be a big question mark over wasting a squad place on Rooney.

Only take players who will realistically make the next World Cup and use this tournament solely for gaining experience.

C'mon Roy, you know it makes sense!

Genuine question - when people say leave the old guard at home and take the young players - which young players do you mean?  I just don't see many around who are capable enough.  Name them please.

That is good squad, i think we'd have enough to progress to the qf maybe even the semi's, but i think i might be disapointed with the team that gets announed. Hasn't Scoles retired from international football?

I'll be in Germany for the final.  That'll be great fun.

I'd go with:

Hart, Foster (if he were to come out of retirement), Ruddy

Richards, Walker, Cahill, Jagielka, Jones, Lescott, Cole, Baines

Walcott, Milner, Parker, Gerrard, Barry, Scholes, Young, Johnson

Rooney, Wellbeck, Sturridge, Crouch

Would've probably had Wilshere and Smalling in there but for injuries too.
