Hello Guys,

Got my new phone and have managed to transfer over contacts and pictures etc from the old phone, but now I am struggling to transfer over my saved text messages. Any suggestions on how to move to my new phone? The old phone is a HTC Wildfire and my new phone is a Nokia Windows based phone. I believe the text messages are actually held in the phone itself and not on the SIM card, I have copied everything to my PC too but I can't seem to access the text messages to transfer them  Sad

Help please  Huh?

Just send the saved ones to yourself and they will then be in your inbox.

Can you do that as one "big" transfer or do you have to do that for each message? I can't see how it can be done in one go. Also, there is a choice to "push messages" do you know what that means?

Can they be bluetoothed?  Huh?

I've got an app on my Mac that backups up everything on my iPhone and keeps an archive of it - text messages, phone calls, answer phone messages and so on. Must be something for other phones. Not sure about copying text messages to a new phone though.

I use smsbackup on my phone, it will store them on your google email account.  However not sure if they have the same program on the windows phone!

Oh, must be that you can't do it on older software as the option is there in the Sensation.

Could try this, not sure how the Nokia would read it for import but it's worth a go and they can be transferred to a pc which will at least be part of the solution should the Nokia not recognise the SMS backup files on the memory card.
