Heard Chuckles inquired about Iandolo - offered £15,000. Power sent him off with a flea in his ear. He wants substantially more - and I mean substantial.

Lots of rumours that Cooper will be out of a job if they lose Saturday, their fans don't like him at all.

That was last night v Birmingham. They won something like 7-2 after it being 2-2 an 3-2 at HT.  Regardless, the skill is there and he has it naturally. Think Derby need to get promoted and likewise ourselves and we could have a chance of bagging him in the Summer permanently. L1 will be his next test. He can manage that already I reckon. Many Derby fans I know feel he should've been making the bench and coming on for them and they are doing pretty well.

It is good news, assuming he can get back to how he was playing before the injury.

The question is, who does he replace in midfield.

Maybe Dunne, but if so who is going to do the shitty stuff.
Banks, but he's only just got going & has been decent in his first two games.
Anderson, plays a very different role

Don't know if FH got my joke. Elsnik's back would be relating to his vertebrae. Elsniks back would relate to him being back here  Cheesy

Hmmm, maybe Elsnik and Banks can rotate duties on the pitch? Much like a CB pairing will share covering duties and either going up for corners etc.

Lets be honest, we know why Dunne is supposed to be in the team, I'm not sure losing him would create the whole it should do though.  So put the two (Elsnik & Banks) in there and pray one of them remembers to defend.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've just got out of hospital. The joke cracked a few of my ribs due to my hysterical laughter.

'Elsnik's back', as I wrote it, was correct, with 'Esnik's' being a contraction of 'Elsnik is'. 'Elsnik's' could also be used to indicate possession, making it grammatically correct for your hilarious joke (his back belongs to him).

'Elsniks back', however, is not correct. Without the apostrophe, it just does not work. If you are going to try and play grammar Nazi, it's a good idea to get it right.

I've been impressed with Banks so far. Has a good range of passing, always looking to get us on the front foot and isn't afraid of a tackle (against Coventry he got stuck in a couple of times). Not afraid to get into the box either. Deserved his goal last week and really should have had a second when his shot in one of the melees was blocked on the line.

I do like Elsnik however but is he too similar to play in the same team as Banks?

Atm we need bodies,  Elsnik back is good, but he's young so getting back up to match speed may take him a while. Hussey and Linganzi look a little way off yet.

So thus far in the window we haven't exactly strengthened...  our season will be decided by Valentine's Day, as we've a horrible run of games, including 3 Tuesday nights, we've lost the lot so far.

Div 4 is attritional, my instinct is that we don't have enough to get through this run of games, in order to make an auto push, but might just keep 7th place in sight.

Glad to hear you found it so hilarious!

Oh dear, I intimated my own typo. I was certain that I had written 'Elsnik is'. I'm glad you have a sense of humour. My hilarious  initial joke still stands. It's quite healthy to be able to laugh at yourself.

Anyhow, he certainly is back, and I hope he does well for us for the rest of the season.  Pint
