Possible they are still discussing deals as they have said they didn't offer a contract to Rodgers so if we didn't to Smith . Evans then they would have been mentioned?

The worry is that Hilton will sign his! Why the fuck have we offered him terms.

My only theory, based on absolutely nothing, is that he didn't get on with LW.

Hylton and Kasim's careers seemed to be done.

Under EFL rules, Town had to make offers to any player they wished to retain for next season before Saturday or risk being fined.

Maybe why the new manager has been pencilled in for Friday - maybe he's made these decisions.

Don't we get money if we offer an out of contract player a contract but they go elsewhere? Or is that only to a certain age? Or is it just something made up by football manager, like Cherno Samba and trequartistas

What dickhead decided to come up with that rule? Contracts run until 31st June?

Must admit I thought they just had to be offered before the end of June.

Maybe the new manager thinks he can get Yasser motivated again, because when he does what he does he's a bloody good player. He needs almost constant observation though because I think here or even his next club will be his last chance.

Similarly, maybe the new manager will actually give Hylton the chance to relative incremental game time to prove he has something? Last season was a mess and LW had lost the players a long while back. Yes Hylton was a petulant shit but one, I think anyone would be pissed at not being even on the bench when you'd been doing so well in training. Two, his petulancy level is nowhere near Leon Clarke or Joey Beauchamp levels and he's still a relatively new pro (when you factor game time). He deserves a chance but like Yasser, here or at another pro club will be his last chance.

I don't have a problem with Hylton's strop as such. It's his ability.

Kasim for me is a big part of why we went down, he's too fragile mentally to risk money on.

that said, I'm hardly going to be disappointed if I'm wrong!

I'm quite sad that Anton Rodgers has been released. He'll go on to greater things and we'll all be sorry. Sad
