I've said it before but from a human level it's perfectly understandable for Doyle to leave for a team in the North West if the money is better than what the same as we can offer and, from a footballing aspect, he did exactly what we desperately needed him to do and that was to get us promoted.

Corrected for you.

Not sure but Wellens said the EFL need to get their arse in gear regarding salary caps, says its not fair to wait till start of august if the efl plan a restart on 29th august as it doesnt give anyone time to prepare etc
29th August always looked unrealistic, it's tight even now for Sept 12th, surely?

I haven't heard for certain but I know many Scottish teams went back today, so unlikely to be too much longer before they go back.

Saying that the National play offs don't even finish until August 2nd! not much time for clubs and players to prepare for league football.

For some reason, I thought the player were supposed to back at the club (perhaps not for pre-season but for something else) at the end of this week

I understand there are a few players at the club today but not by any means all of them.

I cannot find anything about his case, it was due in Leicester Crown Court on Mar 17th a week BEFORE the start of lockdown.

I can find nothing online confirming it even took place.

I'm sure he'd been put down for a while and has already done his time. Although it might just be my synapsis misfiring.

Yes, you would think that hes pleased guilty so there would be no more trial on that date just serving of any sentence/punishment and that any custodial sentence would have been handed out at the time and served in full by now.

Just peculiar nothing has been reported, footballer getting convicted is normally something the media jizz themselves about.

Indeed. Not the usual sensationalism in the press when there is anyone even remotely famous, especially footballers.

What I will say is he was a model pro on the pitch, I don't remember any signs of hot-headedness or indiscipline.

Not with us he never, but he does have a record for it with his previous clubs. I couldnt fault his professional approach while with Swindon.

Dion was pretty good during his month at Town.

As long as Zeki is sticking around...
