What's everybody's thoughts on the retained list then? I'd keep Conroy, Knoyle & Rose from those who are out of contract. Wouldn't shed any tears if the rest went. Of the OOC players who haven't featured much or at all under RW the only one I'd keep would be Diagouraga who when fit will be a great DM at this level presuming he fits into RW's style of play. Got a feeling he'll be moved on if there are takers though.

On Diagouraga, he's had all season to get fit. My overactive Spidey sense is tingling.

Does anyone have any information re Cameron McGilp? Is he simply not deemed good enough to merit a place in the matchday squad? I can't recall Wellens even mentioning him post signing. I hope he's not another duffer as he's under contract until 2021.

Similar to Taylor Curran he's apparently 'one for the future'. Expect him to be on the fringes or loaned out unless he impresses in pre season.

Player contracted to a club states desire to fight for a place.

Pre-season decides whether he achieves that.

Then he's told what's what and it's another loan spell.

When he doesn't make the squad, I like his enthusiasm and nastiness but hes not overly talented.

Just meeting arranged with all the players on Wednesday. So guess we won't get official confirmation until late in the afternoon or possibly Thursday.

Assume Diagouraga also not required after yesterday's team selection, though like Mcglashan has another year to run. The interviewer also mentioned Iandolo as having another year. Don't see him being wanted either.

I'll be sorry if Dunne goes, he's had many good games imo, and always gives 100% effort with lots of experience behind it.

Not bothered about Dunne or McCourt leaving TBH, both occassionally handy squad members at best neither will play regularly next season if they do stay.

TBH on first sight McGilp looks at least as handy if its going to be mostly bench warming and coming off the bench and probably a lot cheaper in wages too.
