A lot of people were happy when we signed Anderson permanently

Yep, I was one of them. We were wrong

GOALKEEPERS
1. Lawrence Vigouroux (2019) - Number 1
12. Will Henry (2018) - Extend and get him a proper, season-long in the conference
21. Reice Charles-Cook (2019) - Bin if possible
28. Stuart Moore (2018) - Number 2

DEFENDERS
2. Ben Purkiss (TBC) - meh
4. Matt Preston (2018) - 3 year deal please
5. Chris Robertson (TBC) - bin if poss
6. Olly Lancashire (2019) - keep
23. Joe Romanski (TBC) - sure he'll be around as a kid
24. Kyle Knoyle (TBC) - offer a long-term contract if he's out.
25. Dion Conroy (2019) - keep
34. Ryan McGivern (2018) - meh

MIDFIELDERS
8. James Dunne (2019) - fine
14. Ellis Iandolo (2018) - extend for a year
15. Tom Smith (TBC) - extend for a year and actually let him push for the first team.
16. Amine Linganzi (TBC) - bin
18. Donal McDermott (2018) - extend for a year
26. Jordan Young (2019) - keep
31. Matthew Taylor (2018) - extend for a year
35. Jordan Roberts (TBC) - I don't know who this is? A kid I'm assuming?
--. Tommy Ouldridge (TBC) - don't care

FORWARDS
7. Paul Mullin (2019) - fine
9. Luke Norris (2019) - fine
17. Marc Richards (2019) - fine
22. Kaiyne Woolery (2020) - fine
27. Scott Twine (TBC) - presumably will have a part to play
30. Keshi Anderson (2020) - fine

So...

Not much flex available, and it could be argued needed, in the final third but overall defensively and in midfield a must - hoping for something like:

LV
Moore
Henry

Knoyle
NEW RB/CB
Purkiss
Preston
Conroy
Lancashire
New LB
M Taylor

McDermott
New Winger 1
James Dunne
New CM 1
New CM 2
T Smith
Iandolo
New Winger 2
New Winger 3

Mullin
Keshi
Norris
Richards
Woolery

Then Twine, Young an active part of the squad, couple of other kids on the fringes for JPT.

6-7 signings away from having a really decent squad, if those additions are of sufficient quality.

Good luck to him, captain of our U18s and physically a fairly well built striker who has scored a few for the youths this season.

Well done to Kyle Knoyle making the L2 Team of the Week.

Got a good ‘un there, I reckon. Who was responsible for his signing?

I think Kyle Knoyle will go on to better things, hes been a solid performer in almost every game I have seen him play.

He was rated highly as a youth at West Ham and tipped to make their first team but only made 1 sub appearance, luckily we got in there before anyone else grabbed him.

Have to get him signed on for longer term than he is IMO.

There is an awkwardness about him, but he has improved under Brown, by quite a stretch as well.  He looks a real threat now and doesn't look lost in defence.  His crossing in the last couple of games has probably been better than Taylor, who got a bit fixated on drilling in crosses and floating corners.

Yep he has improved. I think he'll progress. A big season for him coming up, I think he could become Nathan Byrne-esque. Should extend current deal.

Hopefully there is an option for an extension for KK.

This got to me to thinking when was the last time that a first teamer was offered and actually signed a new contract.
Nathan Thompson possibly, a few years ago?

Now that is an interesting question, to which I have no idea, you could well be right with NT.

To be fair though once Black left we stopped paying silly wages, so I’d imagine nobody was going to sign again on lower wages.

Added to that having qualified for two playoff finals and lost the better players are likely to have offers at a higher level and many of the others we probably didn’t want to keep.

I can’t imagine there’s too many of the current crop that will be in demand elsewhere so maybe we will keep more of the ones we want to keep.

Agree with pretty much all of that Panda although I'd be looking to offload Dunne & Norris (for free if need be, although we'd presumably get a small fee for Norris given he's our top scorer & we managed to get fees for Brophy & Goddard in Jan).
