It's kind of what happens to us though isn't it, just when things look to be going well something throws a spanner in the works, which is why these days I just look for the small victories, and enjoy them.

Back in the dark days of the early 80's when we were struggling to get out of Div 4 playing in front of 2/3000, I was convinced that we'd end up in the top flight, because I'd seen the good years of the 60's and very early 70's, and knew how good we could be as a club. That faith proved well founded, though short lived

Standing in the TE against Darlo with the clubs lowest crowd of some 1,700 where would it end up.

Loved the late 70's v Watford (Motd) 2-1, Swansea 0-1, with the Liverpool team and then beating the Gills 3-1in the famous game Smiley, car turned over on way back to station (shit they were the days).

Had some good times, many bad though.

TE is so crap now. Sad for the younger ones they will never witness that surge.

Still got the bruises now after Everton 2-2 with Stroud's rocket.....lucky the Parka kept my intestines intact Smiley
You see Reg some of us can still remember Wink
Newport away was dangerous, Burnley special mad and Carlisle special ...... Cold particularly when the Undertaker was rolled down the grass bank.
Then the cut head by a celery stick at Wigan.

Ohh shit why can't I go back in time..soapy tit wank

 Shut Up Shut Up

Plenty more to roll on....
Blackpool Red ...... With his hotel.
Swimming the canal after Chesterfield away on a Friday night called off.
Helping paint Oxford's ground.
Setting alight to Blackpool reds hair as the second half kicked off.
Car exploding due to no oil on way back from Rochdale.
Previous season at Rochdale driving away from the locals wrong way down cobbled street in a stolen Morris Minor (from mates parents).

Could write a book Smiley

Shut Up Shut Up

Swimming the canal after Chesterfield away on a Friday night called off.
While you were busy swimming the canal me and my mates were getting pissed awaiting their Panza Patrol and ending up kipping at the Cop Shop. It must be said the old bill were good fun and a good bunch of lads. We were bloody tired the next day when the game went ahead.

Not proud of that night.
Got refunded with tickets claiming we came on a mini bus when we came by car.
Cashed in 10 paying for next away game claiming by letter that we couldn't make the next day.
I am a nice Man now Chalkie White Smiley

Wes has just tweeted a picture of Harry Agombar, therefore confirming his existence!

Jeez, with that gettup, he'd be better off  signing for Croydon Athletic.
