Which is no bad thing. Many, many times in the past I've found myself really pissed off at a particularly lethargic performance (I'm not commenting on today's performance as I didn't even hear the commentary) Then I've found myself even more pissed off at the manger's reaction (whoever it may have been at the time) who just brushes it under the carpet.
So as long as he doesn't go too over to the top (which, judging by his comments, I don't think he will) I think it is this attitude which will get us over the line.
He gave them a bit of a caning after the Rovers game and it didn't do them any harm then.
PDC's post match reaction was not OTT in the slightest, he didn't raise his voice once. And yeah I totally agree, it's great to have a manager that wants to maintain high standards all the time. Letting a win getting in the way of a bad performance could set a bad precedent.

I thought he was a bit harsh when I heard it but on reflection I'm glad he's got he poker up them. In times gone past we would have easily dropped points last Tuesday and today but under him we seem more resilient and today was the only drop in performance for months.

Sure PDC will have the lads well up for it on Saturday, just remember we are playing the yellow shit on the pitch and ignore the wankers in the stands who seem to think their three sided dump is suddenly going to turn into Galatasary, we will piss all over them! They are shitting themselves after today's rubbish against the mighty Macclesfield - they fear what is coming and so they should. We steamrollered them at home and they fluked a win, we have a much better side now!!!

Ferry asked to be subbed, don't think he's too well.
I was sitting not far from the dugouts and I also thought Ferry asked to come off. He looked really washed out and could still be getting over his illness but agree that him and Paolo never spoke when he did come off. Didn't think Connell had a good first half but we seemed to miss him when he was replaced.

Ferry was the only player not embraced when he made a sub though, considering his contribution on Tuesday I thought that was a bit off.
Not really....good player but still can be THE player if he wants to be....done well in my opinion but still could do a lot better..........Twatter and the haircut dosn't help his cause,,,,being shit hot every week would, but alas he aint.

My 5 year old made her first comment about football during the match today.
'Daddy, you know the other team, the ones in white? Their player with number 12 on him? I hate him'
Good girl. Apparently she didnt like the way he was fouling Benson Benson jesus christ Benson (as I like to call him).

I read (heard) the interview as nothing more than a manager of a successful team attemptiong to keep his players' feet on the ground on a day when, relatively speaking, the performance was as good as it could have been. There has also been plenty of praise and 'we will win this league' in recent weeks.
Paolo sounds measured and in control. Week by week, he is dismantling his early season caricature as a hothead who would lose his way at the slightest provocation. How many times have we heard about the 'Di Canio circus' recently? Not many.

Not a bad game today, but I think the last three games are our sticky patch and Paolo's trying to pull the team out of it and get back to form - hopefully before the pox game.
