Why the club couldn't open the hatches over a fortnight i do not know?
Sales easily could have been spread with those in the office manning the phones whilst other staff issued tickets from the hatches.
Chesterfield could manage it

also, even if the club added 1 pound to the cost of each ticket to cover their costs, I think all fans would have been more than happy to pay this, plus potentially £20k to the club....not to mention the camaradarie and 'day out' experience of queing round the ground etc.
This is progress for you.

Just dialled the direct number, not the 0871 number (01271 335701)
They told me I was on the wrong number but served me anyway.

I actually got as far as entering my payment details for my tickets and then got thrown off with a system error. Hope I dohn't end up buying two lots of tickets.

I picked my seats then the message invalid request greeted me in the 5 mins the page was waiting to load.

I can't seem to get past the ticket choice stage? I click 36 pound ticket, and I get a loading page.. Perhaps it doesn't work on my current network??

I just did this - great shout, almost straight through!  Also had tickets that weren't available when I was trying online, get on the phone!  Grin

We opened the concourse under the south stand when tickets were on sale and stagered it over the week one day south stand ST, the next west then east and finally loyalty card holders before then went on general sale the week after. We did a number system where you were given a raffle ticket and waited till it was called. Also they open up the refreshments hatch so the waiting was plesent as well, i was suprised though to hear that you had given most of your tickets to ticket master is that right?
Anyway good luck on march 25th whatever the outcome it will be a really good day out how are ticket sales going?  We have so far sold 15,500 but we only have the higher end £46 tickets left and i think they have peaked now dont think we will be requesting anymore i doubt we will sell the 21,000 we have got but were taking a good following down.

by the sounds of it we may pass 15500 today....first day of general sale, unless all this activity is the same 5 people calling up 1000 times each...which is a distinct possibility.
