How can you possibly miss seeing your team at Wembley ??

You baffle me sometimes.

Last time was such a horrible day.

This game isnt really that important in the grand scheme of things.

I've thus far stuck to not going this season - and whilst the things that put me off are long sorted I cant help but think if I start going we'll start losing!!

I want to get club wembley tickets like I did last time and I was behind the goal. But it doesn't show CW tickets behind the goal on that plan.

Or am I being thick?  Embarrassed

DV you're a fucking sanctimonious idiot sometimes (aren't we all, although some more than others) but i'm sure you care about STFC so get your arse to Wembley. The more the merrier....

I understand what you're saying about it not being that important in the grand scheme of things but it's a Cup Final for christ's sake. How many cup final's have we had to enjoy in your lifetime? None in mine and i'm older than you i expect.

Obviously if you do come and we lose then it's your fault though :-)

100%

As I've said - it wasnt the being shit and going down that put my off. It was the gutless, white flag surrendering mentality the whole club had. Right from the sale of Greer in July, all the players inbetween, Austin and Morrison in January - and then Paul fucking Hart.

The more time goes on the more it seems that was Fittons mentality and we're better off with Wray as Chairman.

I'd go back now if I didnt think somehow it would jinx us. I've even turned down free tickets because....

Its Fucking important to me. How many opportunities do think we are likely to have to do "the double"

Hopefully after this year, one more opportunity.

Then we'll be in the Championship and too good to even have to enter the piss poor paint pot.

I've always maintained its for small time teams with no major honours like Bristol City.

Plus, unlike the Millwall game it isnt shit or bust - we could lose 10-0 to Chesterfield and still go up as Champions and be a division above them.

I can see where DV is coming from.  I've never really been bothered by the JPT.  But now we're here, it's a day out.  I think I'm more excited by that, and the chance to right some Wembley wrongs from 2 years ago, than I am by the potential for silverware.

If we weren't doing the business in the league, however, I doubt I'd be able to give the JPT the time of day.  This is not the main course this season.  It's an attractive side salad.

I can kind of understand your relluctance to go with it "only" being the JPT, but as Paolo69 said - it's a cup final and we haven't been to one of those since '69!

As for the fear of putting a Jinx on things, you should go - everyone knows that the only potential jinx is SSWS not starting the official matchday thread whilst pissed!
