Credit to the 498 who travelled mid-week to Southend.  Quite a few were London Reds, but the majority would have had a 270 mile round trip from Swindon or surrounding towns/villages on a Tuesday night.  Fair play to that.

Well done to the team and the supporters, I was concerned that there may have been an adverse reaction after Saturday, would have been happy with a point - overjoyed with all three and a dominant performance.

That's got to be the perfect transfer window day - kept all our big guns, signed Cox and then dicked on a main promotion rival at their place. Cracking performance all round, hard to pick individuals out for me though Devera was a beast at the back.

Good noise from our travelling support and top night, finished off with fish, chips and beer on the train back to London.

Happy days!

He never made it tonight. probably fell in the thames or something Smiley

This made me laugh even more, than the image of him waving his crutch in the stand. Bring on Saturday. Comfortably my earliest football day ever...6am for tickets...

Although in the real world that was absolutely woeful. We did nothing first half, defence was terrible and we created nothing. Swindon look leagues above us.

Quote
Summary from all of us there:

We were were showed up to be what we have been for a lot of the season, average and were beaten by a team with more quality and the best in the league by miles.

Quote
Swindon were far superior to us, moved for each other, passed the ball quickly and directly and wanted this win.

Quote
I don't think its time to panic yet Swindon looked a different class to eveyone else we've played this season.

Sturrock 2. Sorry Luggy but the best motivation you can give a team, is to say they are not the best in the league. On this showing I think Swindon are the best in the league and will take some stopping.
