Been hearing silly rumours of Cibocchi going to Bournemouth for £350k.

I'd drive him there myself for that!

I would've taken 1.2 million.

I agree. Nice fee. I'm sure we could've bought Danny Ward for a fraction of that as his replacement. Smiley

Had a great record at Carlisle of 47 goals in 118 games, but has only scored 10 goals in 126 games since leaving.
from what i've seen in highlights and a few games on sky i'm amazed he's done that

Jefferon Louis (remember that prick) signs for Lincoln - he has had more clubs than Fola Onionbahji & Trevor Benjamin combined

That never reliable sauce Twitter is rife with tweets about Crawley's Sanchez Watt doing a Joey and going back to Arsenal after 5 days because he "failed to settle in Crawley"

Surely not.

... and there was Alan Smith thinking he would be the big fish in that side.

McNamee released too.

So is it official - we've kept the team together?

The perfect end to a great day in the world of Swindon Town FC.

Hats off to Jeremy Wray, who imo is the best Chairman we've had in my lifetime.  Long may he remain!

Indeed.

Very big thanks to Mr. Wray for sticking to his word and keeping our team together, now lets got on with destroying this shithole league.

Agreed, £1.2m on Jan 1 maybe, but taking the money on the final day of the window would have been very poor business.

One factor that seems to keep getting overlooked is the salary cap. Even if we could identify 2 or 3 players to bring in with the fee, they would almost certainly not fit within the League 2 wage cap so we wouldnt be allowed to sign them anyway!

Ritchies value is only going to go one way between now and the summer, whatever we were offered (and I doubt it was as much as £1.2m anyway) will still be on the table in the summer, and possibly more.

We won't be able to get as much in the summer, prices aren't as inflated.

But hopefully that will be irrelevant anyway if we go up and get important contracts extended.
