In turn, the atmospheres for games at the County Ground are not helped in some cases by the small travelling support from teams like Macclesfield, Barnet & Morecambe for example.

With regards to the away following, it helps that the team are winning, playing good football and visiting some reletively local & new grounds.

Whatever the reasons, its still fucking brilliant.

The buzz from an away win is far greater than a home win, the vast majority of my favourite Town wins are away ones.

Away games are much more fun, home games atm are relatively dull and quiet unfortunately

True, but if dull and quiet gets us promoted I won't care!

The best away fan friendly pubs near the ground are Local Hero and The Counting House. Just asked on Foxestalk.

Had a look at them on google maps and they look a good size with decent food.

Away support has been great and is the best in the league (proven by some stats on another thread), some decent local and other away games coming up as well: Barnet, Hereford & Oxford all within the next month!

Bored I looked up the ref for Saturday and its Darren Drysdale, the same ref that we had at Bristol Rovers.

Just spoke to a couple of Forest fans and it was definitely allocated seating at Leicester and the stewards are strict on no standing. Some would say we are Swindon and do want we want though  Grin

He wasn't great, but should have given Rovers a penalty!

my mate who lives in leicester (is a town fan) said that he will be going to counting house....normally allocated for away fans, good food and drink, and only 5 mins walk from the ground (tv's will be showing utd v liverpool)

sounds good!

Got my ticket today. Hope we sell atleast the initial allocation. Going to go up there with no expectation - if we lose then hopefully it'll be a good away day in the stands. If we win, then brilliant!
