49ers really need to step it up both sides of the ball... they've been very poor

OMG! Hope you all didn't go to bed when the lights went out? Turned into a fantastic game when they game back. Superb rally by the 49ers, with Ravens hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

The best Superbowl for years that was.

The Ray Lewis lovefest was a bit annoying for someone who got away with murder

Papers this morning focussing much more on Beyonce than on the American football.  Is that a fair reflection?

No, was a very good game and was quite dramaric right down to the end.

However, more people in the UK know who Beyonce is compared to Joe Flacco

i enjoyed it, was looking very tense towards the end. i suppose if the 49ers had come back to win it then a lot of questions would have been asked about the power outage?

Who won? Have the Ravens always been Baltimore? Don't remember them when I used to watch Gridiron on Channel 4.

The Ravens won.

They were moved to Baltimore by Art Model from Cleveland (where they were the Browns) because the local council in Cleveland wouldn't build a new stadium.

The NFL then awarded Cleveland a new Franchise when the league expanded on the proviso that a new stadium was built by the local council (which they did). Hence why the Browns are still in the league.

I went to bed just after the Ravens returned the 49ers second half kick-off. Big mistake Sad

Although in the grand scheme of things, my daughter was up at 6 so I'm quite thankful I did because I'd be struggling to function on two hours sleep.

Should have done what I did - Had to get up at 5.30, so just didn't bother going to bed.

For anyone with Virgin they are offering Picture Box free for February and for the next few days they have Friday Night Lights showing which is based on a book following a high school football team from Odessa in Texas over a season, its very good, amazing the crowds that they get in for a school competition
