Does any one know which category would be best for a VoiP phone and why?

Thanks

Cat5 cos it's miles cheaper and unless you're planning to network the town you wouldnt need a Cat6

Cat5e is dirt cheap though DMR, you can pick up 30m for less than a fiver.

Cat6 isnt much more than cat5 or cat5e these days 20m of the stuff can be had for well under £10 and 10m for less than a fiver.

If you can afford spending a few quid more it might be worth cat6 for future proofing but in a home/small business network and its a short (under 100m) length then you wont notcie any difference at all.

We need 25 metres and have found it for £11 online. If you know anywhere cheaper online let me know?

For all intents and purposes there is very little difference between the two. Just get the cheapest cable you can find, at home your internet connection is always going to be the bottle neck.
