It's a joke. People say they wanted to see what the demand was for the game but surely they should have left us 2,000 tickets when they put them on sale back in 2010? Still don't get why they sold them to home fans so early. Desperate for cash i'd imagine. They have basically done it on purpose to try and maximize the home support and reduce the numbers of the travelling support.

Interesting to note from the OUFC statement that putting up the additional stand would mean 'the overall attendance would be over 14,000, which would also create serious traffic flow and parking issues before and after the match'.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for ever extending the existing stadium then, especially when there are more houses being planned nearby.  Yet another reason not to build your ground so far from the centre of town and any meaningful infrastructure.

I just e mailed Nick Watkins regarding this.

He confirmed that there is very likely to be a live feed of the game in various bars and lounges around the County Ground.

Is it really worth it for Oxford to go the extra mile for this? I'm not so sure that it is.

Should never have given them 2700 tickets as this was always bound to happen, we've been mugged off!!! Surely 1500 minimum would have been fair?...suppose the o.b had a big part to play in this also as well!

they try to explain it on here  ( BE WARNED THIS LINK TAKES YOU TO THE POX OFFICIAL SITE)

It says on that link

If a stand was put in place 1,974 seats would then become available for home fans

That would suggest that the segregated area between the two sets of fans will be more than half of the tickets that we have been allocated (722).

Look it up in the dictionary, the definition of Tinpot = OUFC.

So they've given us the bare minimum required by Football League regs (10% of capacity). What a bunch of cunts.

This is true but that's what we get for being such lovely hosts to our bitter rivals.

I said at the time that a temporary stand was a non-starter, and the pathetic way in which they try to excuse them being a tinpot club in that statement, is a joke.

Right before payday and with little chance of booking time off (to queue for tickets) at short notice.

Looks like I will end up missing it. Fucking yellow cunts.
