I like the whole "poised to sign" thing they say. I have this image of a contract on a table and Wes holding a pen over the contract (which his agent has instructed him not to sign just yet) while the agent stares at his mobile, waiting for it to ring with a better deal from elsewhere.
FUCKING SIGN!

As poised as several TEF members (holding something other than a pen) all ramped up and ready to start the Wes Bukkake party...

I'm ready and waiting, cock in hand. Sonic's gonna look like Casper the friendly ghost when we're all finished.

Out of interest, how many clean sheets does he have to his name? And anyone know the record (for us) for a season / calendar year?

Think he has 9 in 15 games for us. Not sure of the record.

Not sure of the record.
Think the record is 22 in a league season in 1968-9, not 100% sure of that though. At the risk of getting too statto-esque our defense overall this season has been historically good so far. Our 12 clean sheets are the most in four English leagues, and in terms of goals conceded per game we are tied with Liverpool and Charlton for the best record in the country at 0.79. If we keep this up it will be our third best ever defensive season after '68-9 and '95-6.

Not a bad record for someone who until a few months ago had'nt even played a league game. Don't think Flint had any league experience before he came to us either but now both IMO would be comfortable in league one.

For us as a team to have only conceded 19 goals so far is incredible, to put this into context .....Creepy Crawley who are currently top have conceded 18 goals in JUST away games and have conceded 29 in total.
An excellent defensive record so far, and we so rarely look like conceding more than 1 goal in any game we play.
Wes in his time with us has probably stopped 20+ shots that many other keepers would probably have let in. Obviously this is surmising but IMO he is the best keeper we have had since the Digby era and maybe even better than him.....eventually.

Especially when 6 of those were in August, 6 in September, and a further 3 against Hereford! Put another way, we have conceded 4 in our last 12 league matches. Wes in his time with us has probably stopped 20+ shots that many other keepers would probably have let in. Obviously this is surmising but IMO he is the best keeper we have had since the Digby era and maybe even better than him.....eventually.
As somebody else said recently, the only thing we haven't seen is how he reacts to making a mistake. ALL keepers do so at some point. Agree with everything you said mind.
