I thought it was common knowledge that he was going back in January.

Anyway, the disruption to our settled back 5 does concern me a bit.  Defensively he is far better than Kennedy although we will get a bit more attacking threat now.  Chibbochi is clearly a center back rather than full back, his best performance was at CB when he came on as an early sub in home game earlier this season, cant remember who it was against but he was pretty impressive.

Common knowledge his loan ran out, but it was hoped we could just extend it.

Was being reported last week that we were hoping to extend to end of season from 1 jan - so only missing for northampton game.  Now looking likely to be a few more weeks at least.
I agree that Kennedy is decent replacement for him and that our main focus needs to be on strengthening elsewhere in the team but it could well be that PdC seeks another loanee at LB if Ridehalgh is unable to return in a few weeks time.

I hope Kennedy is given another chance. Cibbocchi was terrible against Rovers and hasn't impressed all season.

Kennedy did just fine in the 4-1 thrashing of Huddersfield. I think he is ready for another run in the team.

Still hope Ridehalgh comes back in a few weeks though.

Looks like Ridehalgh won't be returning according to Gary Rose. Bit of a blow but at least we now have all of January to look for a new LB. I'd ship out Comazzi and use Chibocci as a CB to be honest.

Ah the downside of loan signings. He did his bit.

I'm sure Huddersfield will be over-the-moon with his progress and perhaps they'll be able to do business with us again.

Shame,  a very solid player - he really seemed to put the effort in every game, fairly rare for a loanee.

Hopefully Kennedy has learned a few defensive positioning tips off of him - as it seemed to me that this was Kennedy's only real failing at LB

I think PDC said in the past that Kennedy whilst being a good player wasn't "strong" -hence De Vita being put on the wing to help out defensively. Personally I though Kennedy had a fine game v Huddersfield and he can sure put in a wicked cross.

Ciobocci impressed me in one of the night games he played at the County Ground, may have been AFC Wimbledon in the JPT but I could be wrong. Sounds like he had a 'mare at Rovers though.

But at least we have options.

A steady signing, did his job. No issues with Kennedy slotting into his place to be honest. Signing a goalscorer is the more pressing issue for me(another attempt for Benson maybe?)
