also ritchie is undoubtedly told to cut in and shoot often because thestrikers canfollow up on any parried efforts or anything that cannons off of the woodwork. the czech republic were amazing during the nedved days because of this, anything within 45 yards was a chance

Isn't the fact that players are cutting inside rather than going outside and crossing due to the fact that they are being played on the opposite wing to which they would naturally play? This is perhaps the way Di Canio wants the team to play?

As well as hitting the bar he also made the keeper parry one out too. In fact I think he pretty much hit the target everytime. Would have liked him to have used Caddy a bit more too but at the same time he did look like he might score. We can't have it all. Fuck me he's twice the footballer Alan O'Brian is and he was first choice at stages last year.
