I'd agree with 1,...but argue about 2 and 3, we only lose to former non league teams unless they are managed by Steve Evansnamely Boston and Crawley...3 we won the first game played at the Britannia Stadium, and the Manor Ground.
If we are to do something this season, then a point at least at Burton would be would a major achievement.

I really don't know too much about Burton, other than Billy Kee is supposed to be a handy player (Benyon's partner at Torquay) and they've got Calvin Zola and Justin Richards up top too. Sounds as if Zola may have a knock, which would suit us - even if he's clumsy, he's a hell of a lot bigger than Alan Mc II, assuming he'll be at the back again.
They've also got Kevin Poole on their books, probably as emergency 'keeper - who was between the sticks for Leicester at Wembley in '93. He was getting on then - he's 48 now.
I've got a sneaky feeling we'll get a win. Would love to see Connell and Kerrouche on the scoresheet again and start to have that inevitable feeling that one or both would score, just like we had with Paynter and Austin.

Yes they were, Evans left Boston on 27th May 2007, we played and won away at Boston on 20th Jan 2007. |

The last time we were in this shit hole division I was the only salesman in the company I worked for. I'm not sure how I managed this but most of our midweek away games coincided with me selling in the vicinity of said opponents. I also remember driving up to Chester on the Friday evening on my own to see us crush them 0-2 when at that stage Wise and Poyet were demi gods. I even changed into my civvies and town top in the toilets of one customer in Mansfield. Looks I got walking back through the offices on my way out! Been to many, many home and away games on my own in the past. Not today, I have things to do other than post on this esteemed forum of course and will be busy when the radio foretells of my 0-2 prediction. so for all that I'm out. |

S'ok. I know where you're coming from ya little fekker  I 'll get to see other games away this season. I'm really hoping we get a decent FA Cup run so I can get to have some fun and banter with some of the sales team I work with around the country as currently my patch is predominantly south and mid wales with only Hereford, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury and Pox as key work related games and that applies to customers only and not colleagues. Got my eye on Macclesfield on the Friday, might take a half day off for that, but need to check how much holiday I have left. |

I went to a game at Chester on a friday night once, queued on the M6 for about 12 hours. Only just made the kick off. The ran out of food at half time and probably the shittest ground i've ever been too.. However today, I think we'll win 3-1. |
