I'm pretty sure this will continue throughout the season. What I mean is, we will probably win the next three or four but then we will lose one and there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then we will win the next three or four....and so it goes on.

oh, and burton will be play-offs, didn't do a great deal but look decent up top, will deffo win a lot of games at home but so will we.

Just goes to show how people see games in different ways. Personally I thought they were poor. There keeper was dodgy (though not as much as ours) and they played no football at all

Burton played to their strengths. A limited side, but they manage to get the results. Something we could learn from, its all well playing good football but you need the results to back it up.

The highlight of the day was their "Townend" ebing called the David Amott "King of Caravans stand" Bit of pikiness/tinpot there Cheesy. But did like the stadium and is how most stadiums should be, more terracing than seats.

Is it not Don Amott? He is the King of Caravans; not that I like tuggers that much.?

The player came the side of him so not easy to see, the radio made it sound that the player was right in front of him. It was a poor touch but as you say, seen worse.

Burton didn't need to play well. Despite our dominance in the first half, we were pretty toothless upfront. Some lovely play in midfield but not clinical enough when we got in their box.

In the second half, after the comedy goal, they played it exactly right.

Absolutely. I thought for he first half hour we played some of best football we've played all season.

I hope this is Fishing., if not then you need to Fucking grow up.

You may not have noticed, but football fans in general take the piss out of the opposition for any little thing.

I'm sure that if we had turned up with less than 100, the Burton fans would have delighted in informing us that our support is shit & questioning "Is that all you take away".

Now if you want something to moan about, talk about the racist twat, and the fact that too many of our fans like to have a pop at our players as soon as we are losing if/when they make a small mistake

a - i didn't hear the racist twat but have already said in the thread about it that there is no excuse for it

b - i've moaned about our fans already, we are in L2 on merit, players will make mistakes and most of our fans don't realise that this is a very different league to the one we were in last time around, our 3rd place promoted team wouldn't get anywhere near the play-offs in my opinion and our fans need to 'grow up' to steal your phrase, and realise this.  we have no divine right to win or have decent players - this is the reason many posters on here have said they hate man u or liverpool on the hated teams thread and it's fucking hypocritical

c - i'm all for taking the piss out of eachother but sometimes just a nice gesture for 2 seconds wouldn't go amiss.  a large number of our fans were a bunch of wankers today.  by your logic i will be taking the piss the next time an opposing player breaks a leg when playing us if we are not supposed to show any compassion or empathy toward other teams.  none of us have any reason to hold anything against burton but i suppose that because they are another team then the fans and players must be a bunch of cunts who we should all hope suffer agonising pain.

maybe i went a little over the top with my original post about it but like i said it was the icing on the cake for a large contingent of moronic fans on show today.

didn't say i thought they were good but they were effective and like i say will win a lot of games at home because they have a few decent L2 strikers.

This is Swindon Town.....it's always been like it. It's not like going to the opera you know.
