Bed time. I've set myself a target of waking up before noon. G'night.

I landed on my feet Ben and I was in the same situation as you. I don't think you really need that many skills to sit in an office at 2:20 in the morning listening to Eliott Smith and waiting for the terminal server to stop being crap.
No, probably not. You're younger than me though Sonic and started to cut your teeth on shitty IT jobs a few years ago. There are numerous people with better qualifications/experience out there for every job at the moment. I wasted four years not even graduating (well not really wasted, but they are now). I've worked shitty catering jobs and a few other things on and off since, but even that has dried up. It's all shit and I'm going to go to bed.

Ben, one of my colleagues has no IT experience and his previous job was as a driving instructor. Lack of experience isn't always a stumbling block and qualifications can be done fairly easily (albeit not cheaply).
Anyway, I want some fish n chips. Can someone please deliver? Otherwise it's a pizza at 2am to watch NFL.

I'm slowly edging towards that myself. I need to reverse the slide, so an early night it is.

what hours do you work/sleep out of interest? Ben, they'll be starting the process to take on christmas casuals at royal mail soon - it'll only be about 3-4 weeks work in December but...

I work 10-6 (7 on Fridays hence still being here). It takes me 5 minutes to get home, go straight to bed and get up about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Fortunately I'm not on permanent nights.

Evenin' tefers! I have to say I have sympathy for Ben.......I'm in the same boat. I started looking for work in more of a management role. As the weeks have rolled by I've resigned myself to taking anything.......still nothing. I spoke to a refreshingly honest recruitment consultant yesterday who told me that in almost every working field there's candidates with more recent experience, or someone younger that a company can 'shape' into exactly what they want........welcome to limbo!

I just realised how depressing that post was, not the stuff of late night threads! Any of you late night types gonna start an official match day thread? I don't trust my luck!
