It's a sin was fantastic. Great mix of the main young cast and the better known actorers playing the surrounding characters.

Back S2 was alright, above average sitcom affair, seemed to be losing some of it's premise and falling into classic sitcom stuff. Yay lets do a pub quiz episode etc.

Yep, not wanting to binge it so watching per week. Just watched E2. Colin is probably the best yet lightly used character.

I personally love the way the whole thing is shot and the vibe of not only the growing stigma but also the difference of opinion between the same circles as AIDS starts to take hold.

There are similarities with attitudes towards Covid-19 currently, another invisible killer and I feel like Russell T. Davies has not only written this to highlight the very "Philadelphia" like attitudes but as a stark reminder of how our species can be ignorant to invisible threats until it's too late.

One further point, he recently defended his comment regarding only gay people should play gay roles; something that I initially disagreed with, especially if extended to all roles (like male not being able to lay a female or vice versa). However he clarified that what he really meant was that, where there was an opportunity for people to play roles specific to their experiences then they should be able to and that in the industry at present that doesn't always happen. It was more an attack on the industry rather than on any actors that have portrayed roles different to their background.

Watched "The Dig" on Netflix yesterday.

Very gentle film about the discovery of the Sutton Hoo Hoard in 1938, a few famous faces in it like Ralph Fiennes and Ken Stott.

A decent way of passing 2 hours even though they should have made more of what they actually discovered in the hoard than just the boat.

It’s a sin must have been one of the best dramas I have seen in years but glad it finished on the 5th episode as not sure I could have managed any more. I can’t remember the last time a programme brought me to tears but this one had them rolling down my cheeks with the beach scene. Utterly moving.

The drowning.
Watchable until tonight's conclusion which was utterly ridiculous throughout. Crap...

Finished last night - was fucking terrible throughout but the last ep was peak shiteness.

Just you wait - that's a walk in the park. Me and Mrs Paws sat there in silent tears throughout the last episode.

Nearly finished the 2nd series of Dr Foster on Netflix. It's a good twisty tale of marriage & deception. Got Jodie Comer in it too, which is a bonus.

Watched It's a Sin over the weekend. I didn't expect it to be that painfully sad, but it was a great drama.
