White Gold. I actually sold double glazing door to door for a brief time in the early 80's and the programme brings back some memories!

Wasn't impressed with the first episode of White Gold, but its growing on me .

Never met a double glazing salesman that could just measure up and give a quote, and I've met three.

Best one was the one who spotted the Swindon stuff and gave it the 'oh I used to watch them', but couldn't remember the players or manager... then at 8pm had to ring his manager to get a 'best price'.. LNR after he'd gone... no number... clichéd sales tactics 101.

wankers the lot of then. no offence Herthab, you are reformed, mostly Smiley

Yeah, it didn't take long at all. It was when I was living in Bristol, but we didn't sell around there. We used to target small towns and villages, 3 or 4 of us cold calling in the evenings trying to con (Sorry, sell) some poor mug 1000's of pounds worth of windows using whatever methods we could. I lasted about a month, by which time I realised that although I was a bit of a cunt,  I wasn't that much of a cunt.

The first episode of Fargo, series three seemed to have a lot of promise. The first two series were brilliant, although you don't need to have seen them.

Thought the first one was pretty ordinary but the second was very good. Looking forward to the 3rd.

It's dark and I like it! Not sure it's the best maternity leave entertainment, but hey!

A couple of episodes into American Gods on Amazon Prime...not sure what to make of it so far TBH just seems a lot of gratuitous sex.
