Speaking of Dexter, you know how he brings in doughnuts to try and make himself seem normal and friendly? We've a girl started work here recently who does that with cakes. Would you be worried? My stomach seems ok with it, mind.

Did anyone see The Returned (Les Revenants) on 4 last night?

I sort of watched it mainly because it's in French, but it was interesting enough to anyway

Yup, there was a time subtitles=turn over. Glad I give things more of a chance these days. Thought it was quite good, though similar ideas have been one series wonders in the US. But this seemed promising.

And I'm sure if we dig back through this tread far enough someone will have mentioned City of Men.

Not watching subtitled films is a bit like not reading books with no pictures.  You only have to read some lines on a screen for a couple of hours, and to not do so severely limits your film choices.  Plus, Penelope Cruz makes films in Spanish - she is worth a couple of hours of reading.  After all, your hands are still free to do as one does when Penelope is on screen...

My favourite subtitled film off the top of my head is The Lives of Others.  Recall really enjoying that.

Whole film available here (need to turn the English captions on at the bottom):

Edit: Hmm, wont embed.  Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/qhdz9wd

New season (Cool of Dexter starts on July 7th on Fox.  It is the last one, the rumour is that Dexter doesn't live happily ever after.

Rumoured to be some spin off shows in the pipeline though.

I've got some catching up to do then!

Yes thats exactly what i thought, i reckon if series 2 hadnt of been confirmed then that bird in the coma would have snuffed it. Scully would have realised her main lead had gone and matey boy had probably got away with it.

The "to be continued" after the credits pleased me greatly
