Anyone watching the new Robot Wars? It's a bit rubbish, but I think it's mostly the fault of the silly format rather than anything else. Jonathan Pearce is better suited to this than football... nothing.

Well, that is true, but there's a certain charm to his ludicrous overenthusiasm and inability to notice basic technical detail (like one of the robots' wheels stopping functioning) which is vaguely amusing on Robot Wars but incredibly annoying when he's given anything else to do.

Stranger things on Netflix is really good.

I've never read a Steven King book, but apparently it's like watching a Steven King book

Stranger Things is great.

It's a dash of most things 1980's. Including Winona Ryder.

A real throwback to the 80s, although I missed out on Winona being in it.

Look forward to the possibilty of a series 2.

Started watching series 1 of Stranger Things, a Netflix series came out a few days ago.

Its a cross between the Goonies, ET, Close Encounters and Stand By Me.

Absolutely brilliant, watched 8 in a row so only have 2 more episodes to watch, highly recommended.

Best thing ive watched on TV, loved Steven King growing up so that's probably a factor. Its like, Steven King, Xfiles, ET and the Goonies all in one.

I loved Early Doors after having it recommended to me on here. Think royle family trumps it though.

Sort of on topic but Ellie Harrison of 'Countryfile' fame owns the flat next door to us. You wouldn't know it as their garden is nothing to write home about.

Did anyone watch and was disappointed with the last episode (last night) of Living and the Dead?

Borrowed heavily from IT, which still remains as one of my favourite books.

All the old series of Cold Feet are now on the ITV Player, I assume to allow people to watch before the new series starts, we are working our way through them, bloody hell they all look young!
