French espionage drama 'The Bureau' is worth a watch on Amazon Prime.

Oi! What's going on ere? This is supposed to be a high class bureau de change, not some two-bit Punch and Judy show on the seafront at Margate!

Love The Office and Extras, two of my favourite shows, however his stand up stuff didn't do it for me at all. He certainly thinks a lot of himself and without Merchant I don't think he would've been anywhere near as successful as he is.

Has anyone seen Merchant's stand up DVD?

Interesting to know people's thoughts on that (I loved it..).

100% same. I didn't find his stand up horribly unfunny or anything, but there was clearly something missing. And if that thing is Steve, that film could be very, very bad...

I really enjoyed his stand up, but I think I just love him a bit. It was obviously something he was trying and playing around with and I kind of liked that. There was certainly no pretentiousness about it, anyway (which you'd expect from Ricky!)

I've not watched any of the series "Hello Ladies" though. As much as I love him, it doesn't sound like my kind of thing.

I actually really enjoyed Hello Ladies, too. It wasn't for everyone, but it was pretty easy watching.

Plus there were some hot women in it.

The bf told me I wouldn't enjoy it, I can see why now!

You should give it a go... give it a couple of episodes before you pass judgement, though.

I saw Stephen Merchant at the Arts Centre a few years ago and he was really good.

Hello Ladies was OK, just a tired stereotype of a show really. Guy and girl are good friends, he's trying to find love and in the end she was there the whole time. Watchable but forgettable.

Iannucci is a genius, absolutely loved the Armando Iannucci Show. I sometimes picture Reg as Hugh.
