How long is their transfer ban?

The job probably doesn't appeal to checkbook managers at the moment, bit of a free hit for Lampard this coming season.  The use of the job title "head coach" is very apt

Yes that is my thinking, Lampard is obviously well respected with a lot of the players, players he will have to work with now as they cannot bring in any new players for a while.

No experienced manager in their right mind would consider taking that job.

Looks like Newcastle are seriously considering giving Steve Bruce the gig, and the fans are rapidly losing their shit!

They lost their shit years ago. Let’s be fair here as supporters go, they’re if nothing else a loyal bunch. That said, if they had the money to spend of which they would need lots of it to compete effectively, who would actually want to go there? Someone would have to pump in hundreds of millions of pounds every year over 3-5 years to ready them for a serious title challenge and European place. Step forward all likely candidates..

I see Darren Moore gets the Doncaster job, a good move for him and club, I think he could do well there and another kick in the nuts to Flipflop who was favourite for the job earlier in the week.

Where’s Monkey’s Heed these days?

‘In the land, where I was born,
Lives a man, with a monkeys heed,
And he went to Sunderland,
And his name, is Peter Reid...

Peter Reids got a f***in monkeys heed,
A f***in monkeys heed,
A f***in monkeys heed,
Peter Reids got a f***in monkeys heed,
A f***in monkeys heed,
A f***in monkeys heed...’

Perfect for Ashley, cheap and will likely do what he is told and not expect signings!
