Cobblers appoint Keith Curle.  No hanging about.

He was odds on favourite overnight when I looked at the betting, sounds like he had been spoken to before the weekend to me.

Has he ever really done anything of note?  It is interesting, because nearly all Managers are failures!  I wonder how we'd all cope in the real world working environment if we were compiled in a league table and anything below top 3 was failure!

I know it's nothing new, but the job life expectancy of a manager is ever shortening...

Very true, but football sackings can have uniquely positive career implications. Take Danny Wilson...

Sacked by Hartlepool - appointed by Swindon
Sacked by Swindon - appointed by Barnsley
Sacked by Barnsley - appointed by Sheff Utd
Sacked by Sheff Utd... odds on him replacing Mourinho?

I'm thinking we could rank our days at work in wins, draws and losses.  The performance reviews can take on a whole new complexion as you try to argue how the Process was to blame, or the Technology, for that run of recent defeats!  The internal comms team can even interview everyone abut their performance and publish it company wide.  The reality is that most people are average or mediocre I guess.  More sackings would occur though, with less of a long term impact on your career though.

I always tell my team, feel confident in committing to anything that will take 2 years to deliver in full - by then you'll have seen the writing on the wall before it goes wrong and can get out ahead of the blame :-).  of course, you are betting that you are in fact good at what you do and instead in two years you'll be lapping up the plaudits.

Steve Bruce gone from Villa, presumably Colin Calderwood will need a new job also.

Duffen is good friends with Brown, the Hull fans still like Brown, it has already been mentioned a few times on the Hull forum....can't see it hapening though.

If the compensation package was good enough theres no way Power would stop him taking it.

I'd put it in the 'rubbish' category. Then I remembered we are Swindon, of course it could happen.

Rumours as in terrace talk, or something stronger?

Wouldn't much surprise me. Worry me yes...

I know I know, its what people want. I agree if we can find better and he doesn't leave us stitched up with debt to himself.
