Looks like Malky Mackay will be on his way out of Cardiff after the owner appointed some fella with zero football experience as director of football.

These foreigners, eh? Makes I laff!!

To be fair he has some experience of Cardiff FC. Work experience of painting the walls over the summer. Couldn't make it up.

On a slight tangent, Reading's future seems slightly less clear after the guy who bought 51% of the shares a year or so ago failed to buy the remaining 49% by the deadline. Rumours are he wants to offload. Don't really have an opinion on Reading myself, other than Madjetski being utterly brilliant as an owner.

I think so, although speaking to my relatives up there they're not too sure if he's the man they need to lead them out of a relegation battle with no PL experience, will start again and get rid of the absolute fodder Di Canio brought in (which they said is a good thing) but just means time will be needed in Jan to gel a squad together...if they aren't too far behind of course! They also said there was nobody else around and Poyet was no.1 all the way through despite rumours of Di Matteo.

To be fair, I don't think Di Canio himself brought these players in - I read an article the other day which talked about how the Director of Football and chief scout were in charge of player transfers, Di Canio just told them what he wanted (and sometimes who). So will be interesting to see what happens to these players.

Agreed! Mad Dog is a bit a twat but he is passionate and did bloody well for them last year. Always thought he was a perfect fit for them. Looks like he wouldn't be out of place selling lucky heather too.

Thought he did a good job for them, as he did get them up last season, but it was always going to be tough for them, and their main aim was to stay up, but it looks like Scally has other ideas.
