I'd also happily have Jackett here.

Top coach and manager, he's done well wherever he's been.

Shoe-in for the Wolves job.

Darren Ferguson will get that job.

Anyone read the interview with Ling on the Beeb?

"I leave the club with the illness, the club had 20 games and got 19 points between Shaun (Taylor, Ling's assistant) and Alan Knill, and all of a sudden I'm sacked."

Wonder if the truth will come out about his stress-related illness?  The rumours down here have gone from cancer to mental breakdown to alcoholism.

He was on Late Kick Off the other night.  Really unhappy about being sacked by a statement being read out to him over the phone. He didn't say anything more than he'd had a stress related illness, but was 100% again now and had been ok for the last 5 or 6 weeks

Fergie considering retirement rumours surface. Well he is 71, and Mourinho is available, and...

Pah, we'll see.

That would be interesting if Fergie goes and the United job becomes available...would Mourinho choose United or Chelsea??  Hmmm I can't see Fergie going though!

I've been saying for months that Fergie will be pushed out over the summer so Mourinho can take over. Don't think Man Utd can risk missing out on one of the worlds best managers and Mourinho would (probably) jump at the chance. Still find it hard to believe he'd want to go back to Chelsea after they got rid of him.

Moyes is the bookies favorite for the ManU job

It'll be a tad odd seeing another manager of Man Utd - never really known any other, he's been there so long. I can't see him enjoying retirement, one wonders if he end's up doing a "Matt Busby" and hanging about

If/when he goes he'll surely get at least ambassador status.  I could see him being DoF and mentor to Moyes, less so to Mourinho.

I was 13 when he was appointed and can remember Atkinson before him, but that's it - I can remember 2 United managers. We've had (arguably) double that this calendar year if you count caretakers!

I fail to see the fuss over Moyes personally. Think that would be a huge risk for United.

I think he's done a good job on a relatively limited budget at Everton, but it is a massively different job from following on from probably the most successful manager in modern times.

Thank fuck for that, whiskey nosed twat.

Superb job though, we will never see the likes of it again.  Hopefully Man Utd see a somewhat downturn in fortunes over the coming years.
