Doncaster reward Brian Flynn with a 2 week (WEEK) contract.

I read that he was only 57 years old, to me he looks at least 70!

And Torquay sack Lingy

Surely that's dodgey ground seeing that he is ill?

Wonder if that was a euphemism for a Christian Roberts type sickness. I know speculation does no good, but sacking someone who has an illness out of their control would be at the very least heartless.

If it wasn't for Shaun Taylor still being at Torquay, I'd hope they really struggle now.

Not an expert but I would think being unable to turn in for work for months on end is grounds to have contract terminated?  A bit harsh (morally) perhaps but, but not dodgy (legally).

The speed of it suggests it was a mutual arrangement.

Shame to see that happen, I just hope Lingy's alright. Still remember Boxing day last season when he came over and applauded the Town fans before the game.

Paul Bodin'll be off there if their form of signing ex-swindon players of a certain era as mangers continues.

Apparently he was sacked by phone last night at 7-30 pm!!  Ironically he was due to be back at Plainmoor today for preparation work for next season, caretaker manager Knill had left the club!  His son Sam has tweeted that his Dad is now 100% fit and healthy!!  Very mixed reaction from Torquay fans who were mid-table when Lingy went on sick leave but only just avoided relegation on the last day.
