Well as you can tell by now i havn't got nothing to feel bad about towards him...he gave his all to the club and many ill feelings aimed towards him are based on nothing more than hearsay.

When and if if he comes out and confirms he is sueing the club i may have a change of heart.

Good luck to him at Sunderland if he takes the job......though a match in August v the Mackems would be nice and spicy i am sure.

Its certainly going to be interesting. As Major says, he's never had thing go badly on the field before so it'll be interesting to see how a relagation battle goes.

Match of the Day will have to be extended from its normal slot to 4 hours long to accommodate his post match comments.

I think he could do well there.

However.....

He's not the right appointment at this stage of the season. His teams take time to adapt even with a full pre-season under their belt. If they were already down he could be a great appointment but in their current situation, Sunderland really should be looking at somebody else.

Yes its a bit oddly timed. That said, Villa or Wigan could still pip them to the Championship spot.

Could go either way. Big gamble but he was for us too. First thing he should do is drop Titus bramble. He is a terrible excuse of a centre back.

Being accused of trying to sue his former employers has the potential to be very damaging is reputation.

If he has no intention of suing, he would have said so by now.

I hope we didn't settle with Paolo on Thursday to lift the embargo for him to show up at Sunderland a few days later. Would have thought he had been approached before this weekend. If he takes Piccareta and Co with him then that should close any claims from the rest of his team.

He is awful, but I thought he played well yesterday bar the own goal to be fair to him.

Piccareta yes, but I cant imagine the other three asking for their jobs back went down well!

Sunderland would resurrect and appoint Bin Laden if they thought he would keep them up. They wont give a flying fuck about appointing diCanio even if he was in the middle of a court case against us if they thought he would keep them up. The one thing we overlook is that DiCanio is not a bad manager, extremely rough around the edges but he gets results and that's all that matters at the moment.

David Miliband quits as vice-chair after Di Canio appointment.

Saying that, he's about to bugger off to the States.

He was pretty much an honorary role anyway, so I think it fair to say that PDC is the catalyst.

Phil Spencer as DoF? Wink

PdC is a cunt, but I'll watch with bated breath - this time with a degree of amusement that it's from the outside.
