Looks like fans of Blackburn and Ipswich are preparing to be completely underwhelmed by the appointment of their new managers - Hening Berg and Mick 'Horse' McCarthy.

TBF Horse hasn't got a bad record at Championship level, but he'll do well to sort Ipswich out.
Berg did fuck all in 3 years at Lillestrøm, not surprised Blackburn fans are underwhelmed

The perils of appointing an ex-player as manager, hoping it will keep the fans on board.

Think we'll be eating chicken next year!

Ipswich is a managers graveyard!
Could have been so different if Charlie had chosen them instead of Burnley.

Surely he'd be better off staying at Blackpool?

Holloway confirmed at palace. He must of got fed up with northern monkeys because I can't think of any other reason he would leave Blackpool for south London.

Berg to Blackburn is funny too. If they wanted an up and coming norwegian then get ole gunnar for goodness sake.

I know every managerial vacancy is met with 'PDC to ....' comments, but Blackpool is they type of club that I think could tempt him - especially with their parachute payments funding squad building. And they've already employed one nut job.

That doesn't mean I think he'll end up there this time mind.

In defence of my avatar, I think part of the reason he's moved to Croydon is because it's a lot closer to home for him. Perhaps he also felt he'd done what he could at Blackpool and it was time to move on.

Also with the money he can build twenty new chicken huts.

When Holloway went to Blackpool he was on the manager scrapheap especially after his disaster spell at Leicester....he snatched at the chance of a rolling contract at Blackpool...and now whinges at it.
I remember the day Managers preached loyalty to players....anyone else remember them days?

He had a burger in the town end just before that.....when Hapless Malpas was impersonating a football manager.
