John Sheridan has been given the boot at Chesterfield
That'll teach him to win the JPT
Taken their fans by surprise as well, there was no call for him to leave from the fans. 2 draws from 3 games in the league. Must have someone lined up to replace him, surely it might have been better to have got rid of him at the end of last season so the new boss had time to build a squad.

But you're basing that entirely logical suggestion on the basis that the average club chairman has more than one brain cell

Dennis Wise (cunt) is linked with Coventry.
I hope he gets the job so we can hurl abuse and sharp objects at him.

Judging by this there may be some chairman out there that are going to be getting a bit twitchy very early and make some kneejerk decisions
Wise to Coventry...please let it be so the pleasure of a full CG hurling abuse at him would be so good

Whilst is just on another forum so it might be bollocks but apparently the sacking is due to gross misconduct rather than footballing matters.

Same, from what I've read its due to too much "Fizzy Pop" causing disruptions. Not the first time Sheridan has been fired for an incident like this....

That would make sense, seemed a wierd sacking otherwise.

Saying that Chris Turner has a habit of sacking a manager as DoF, then taking over the job himself, like he did at Hartlepool.

After Wembley I received some proper patronising comments from Chesterfield fans after Wembley. Going on about how we'll get relegated based purely on their experience in L1. Since then, I've wished a decline on that club

I also found their fans thoughroughly ignorant and arrogant on my trip home after Wembley, I hope they stay in the bottom league where they belong.

I've got a feeling the first two managers to get the boot this season will be Brendan Rodgers apparently if they lose today it'll be l'pool's worst start since 1903/04 season. And the other will be the Scum's manager, although I think he's doing a bang up job winning 3 cup finals in a year is pretty impressive.
