There was a big hoo ha when he was at Rovers - mainly from City fans - that he wanked a dog off.

Wasn’t rebutted much by Rovers, either.

Can’t be arsed to trawl their forum to find it.

There are a couple of posts on OTIB today about it. Such as

‘Lock up your dogs’

And

‘Sure he’s not been made manager of Kenilworth Dogs Trust’

Think you're getting your dogs mixed up. LL was more of a frequenter of Princes rather than Perry Barr. Where I assume Clarke might be licking his lips at the prospect...

Dean Holden sacked and can't remeber when both Bristol clubs were looking for a new manager at the same time

...and thus the race to disappoint their fanbases with questionable recruitment is on!

Bristol City have never really appointed an 'exciting' name as manager, have they? Does Joe Jordan count?

I agree they've always gone for lesser names in the past although Eddie Howe is the early favourite. It makes you wonder why though as they've got everything we haven't in a billionaire owner, smart stadium and a big fanbase but they never seem to get it right on the pitch apart from the odd cup run

At least their chairman can see there's a problem and has the balls to do something about it.

True. But he's also got the financial clout for the payoff and to recruit a replacement

I’d have any of the managers sacked by other clubs here. Curle, Tisdale, Holden. Anyone really.

At the moment I would take Ron Manager, Mike Basset or Tommy Brown (Fulchester United)...
