Not sure why Woodgate got the job in the first place to be honest
I know hes a bit of a cult hero up there but even their own fans were amazed at his appointment.

Indeed, although Barrow are still suggesting no formal approach has been made and suggesting that it will require 'massive compensation'. How much cash do the new Bolton have?

Done a decent job at Barrow, would going to Bolton be a job too soon? might be worth seeing if Barrow can make an impact on L2 first.

Bolton seem to be throwing money at the relegation problem, arent they banned from signing players over the age of 23 or something still?

Barrow won't let their manager go for cheap, you can guarantee that, backward move at this stage for him. Bolton are a big team but they are still a bit financially in a bit of shit.

I would expect any deal to include the words 'cleared funds'.

There is still absolutely nothing in the local rag about this up here!

I really think that at this stage of his fledgling career its too soon to fly the nest to a basket case club, even if money talks the chances of him achieving success there with the current reseourses is slim.

Better off staying at Barrow for another year, build up that CV a bit more in the league and wait for a better more financially secure club to come calling, which they will.

An official approach has been made apparently.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8457567/Bolton-make-approach-Barrow-boss-Ian-Evatt.html

On their forum Bolton fans seem to think its done and dusted and that he could resign from Barrow and take over at massive club Bolton negating them paying a fee!

Arrogant? maybe.

Confident....definately.

Weren't a lot of their fans confident about Wellens and Doyle though?  Albeit on Twitter rather than their forum..  ideas above their stations and all that..

Were they mate? I don't really use twitter but all the Bolton fans I know (only about 3 TBH) but they all "think" they are still a Premier league club and think they have a God given right to return there asap.
