Sounds very much like the Luke Williams style appointment.

I wonder if he's learned to speak Dutch like Steve (Shteeve) McLaren

For me it was never the "latching on to the accent" that's partially forgivable. It was always the 'pfffff' thing he does. Almost becoming another personality.

In fact the accent magnetism isn't excusable, since he has a bloody Yorkshire accent! I'd given him the benefit of the doubt for that bit. But no more. Premier League. Ar-sen-al.

1/5 on is Moyes.

Rafa Benitez at 10/1. As Moyes is so favoured a waste of a bet likely but if you were in charge of West Ham surely you’d take a punt and try & get Benitez?

Await the onslaught of rolling eyes icons at that, every time I say something like that I get loads of them, oh and the quote "really?".

Oh thats right you won't you havent pissed enough people off on the TEF yet compaired to me!

FWIW I think West Ham is a difficult job for anyone TBH, over expectant fanbase partly due the WC of 1966 and a couple of FA cup wins and a massive white elephant of a stadium.

I must admit I have a bit of a soft spot for West Ham. They have a huge amount of idiot fans following them but I have a lot of mates that have followed them through thick and thin, more edging on the anorexic side of Naomi Campbell most of the time TBH.

Their teams always try and play good football at the expense of results it seems.

Time for them to take a risk on a young up and coming manager now rather than going for experience I think.

I've long thought the good football thing attached to WHU a bit of a myth.  Back in the days of Ron Greenwood and John Lyall then yes, but after Lyall, they sort of flipped between long ball merchants and then reacted to that by sticking in someone perhaps a bit more cerebral, to no discernible effect so go back to a long ball merchant.

Lou Macari was the first of the long ball merchants, and since then they've had Billy Bonds, Pardew, Allardyce and Moyes.

They normally go down when trying to play a bit so opt for a LBM.  Seems to be what is happening again
